Cali Farquharson (born December 17, 1993 in Yakota , Japan ) is an American soccer player who has been under contract with the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2016 season .

Career

While studying at Arizona State University , Farquharson played for the Arizona State Sun Devils university team from 2012 to 2015 . In 2015 she also played for the W-League participant Seattle Sounders Women , with whom she failed in the first round of the championship playoffs at the Colorado Pride . During the NWSL's college draft in January 2016 , she was selected in the second round at position twelve of the Washington Spirit franchise . Farquharson made her NWSL debut on April 16, 2016 in a 1-0 home win over the Boston Breakers as a substitute for Katie Stengel .
