Jillian Loyden (born June 25, 1985 in Vineland , New Jersey ) is a former American soccer goalkeeper .
Career
societies
Loyden started her career in 2007 in the W-League participant Jersey Sky Blue (later Hudson Valley Quickstrike Lady Blues ) before the inaugural season in 2009 the WPS to franchise the Saint Louis Athletica changed. After the end of the season in the USA, she switched to the Australian first division club Central Coast Mariners on loan until the end of the year . The following two seasons Loyden spent with the WPS participants Chicago Red Stars and magicJack before the entire league was dissolved before the start of the 2012 season. From the 2013 season she played in the newly founded National Women's Soccer League for Sky Blue FC and ended her professional career in October 2014. In July 2016, Loyden briefly returned to the Sky Blue FC squad as a substitute goalkeeper, but did not play a competitive game until the end of the season.
National team
Loyden made her international debut on October 21, 2010 in a 2-1 win against China and was part of the 2010 CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup squad . In the US squad for the 2011 World Cup in Germany , she was the player with the fewest A-internationals and was not used during the tournament. Loyden played their tenth and last international match on April 6, 2014 against China .
In October 2014, she announced her withdrawal from international football in order to have more time to look after her nephew, whose mother - her younger sister Britton - had been murdered by her fiancé in 2012.
