Ivan Ilić
Ivan Ilić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Иван Илић ) (born August 14, 1978 in Palo Alto ) is an American pianist . He currently lives in Paris .
Life
Ivan Ilić studied mathematics and music at the University of California to graduate .
After briefly studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music , he completed his further training at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, which he completed with a Premier Prix . He then continued his education at the École Normale de Musique in Paris. His teachers in France were u. a. François-René Duchâble , Jacques Rouvier and Christian Ivaldi .
In his solo concerts Ilić concentrates on the interpretation of French composers, especially the work of Claude Debussy . His in October 2008 on the French Paraty label released recordings of Debussy's Preludes 24 were with the critic price of Mezzo Television , the Critic's Choice Award , excellent.
Ilić's recordings, mostly solo recordings, include the works of JS Bach, Handel , Haydn , Beethoven , Chopin , Schumann , Liszt , Brahms , Debussy, Ravel , and Lucien Durosoir. Works by contemporary composers can be found in his solo lectures. a. by John Metcalf , Keeril Makan and Dmitri Tymoczko . You are among a growing number of composers who have written new compositions for Ilić.
His next project is an album with recordings of interpretations of Chopin's etudes by Leopold Godowsky .
Ilić has given concerts at Carnegie Hall , Weill Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall , Glenn Gould Studio, and Ireland's National Concert Hall .
