Marina Wozniak (born September 7, 1979 in Herne ) is a German soccer referee . She whistles for the club SV Sodingen .

Career

She has been a DFB referee since 2004 and directed games in the women's second division . A year later she was promoted to the Bundesliga . When German Cup final of women in 2007 was as a fourth official used. The DFB nominated her as referee for the women's DFB Cup final on May 17, 2014 between SGS Essen and 1. FFC Frankfurt.

She became a FIFA assistant referee in 2008 and was on the FIFA list until 2016. In 2008 she was appointed to the U-20 World Cup in Chile . In March 2015 she was nominated as assistant referee for the 2015 World Cup . There she and her colleague Katrin Rafalski assisted referee Bibiana Steinhaus in the host Canada's game against New Zealand on June 11th , which had to be interrupted for about 30 minutes after four minutes due to a storm. In addition, she was nominated together with Rafalski as assistant to Hungarian Katalin Kulcsár for the game between China and New Zealand on June 15.

In the men's division, she directs games in the fifth-class Oberliga Westfalen, previously she was used in the Oberligen Westfalen and Nordrhein as well as the NRW League since 2006 . Since the 2016/17 season Wozniak has also been working as an assistant in the Regionalliga West.

honors and awards

In 2016 Marina Wozniak was awarded the sports plaque of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for her sporting achievements . In 2011, the Herne Referees Association named her “Referee of the Year”. The Football and Athletics Association of Westphalia (FLVW) awarded her the title of "Referee of the Year" at the association level back in 2008.

In July 2019 Wozniak was named " Referee of the Year 2019" by the DFB .
