Heinz Aldinger

Heinz Aldinger (born January 7, 1933 in Waiblingen ) is a former German football referee .

Aldinger headed a total of 136 Bundesliga games between 1968 and 1981 and 49 second division games between 1974 and 1981 . He developed into one of the most consistent German referees of the 1970s. The highlights of his career were the two nominations for the DFB Cup finals in 1972 and 1980 .

From 1973 to 1981 Aldinger was a FIFA referee. He was used in a total of 18 games in the European Cup, including the final in the 1977/78 European Cup Winners' Cup , and in 12 international matches. At the 1980 European Football Championship , he directed the first group game between Belgium and England . At the 1974 World Cup in Germany, he was line judge in two matches.

One of his words became famous in the 1970s. When Wolfgang Overath from 1. FC Köln , apparently dissatisfied with Aldinger's decisions, said you probably have your weak ten minutes, Aldinger replied, who did not show the Cologne director the yellow card: And you, Overathle, have been playing for 70 minutes Shit!
