Jürgen Aust (born January 30, 1960 in Cologne ) is a former German football referee .

Aust became a DFB referee in 1984 and from 1990 to 2003 headed 161 games in the first Bundesliga and from 1989 to 2003 a total of 63 games in the 2nd Bundesliga . In 1999 he headed the DFB Cup final , which Werder Bremen won 6-5 on penalties against Bayern Munich .

Aust was a FIFA referee from 1995 to 1997 and whistled two international matches and six European cups.

In 2004, Aust announced his resignation after three knee operations due to cartilage damage . Today Jürgen Aust lives in Cologne and runs a law firm in Cologne . He is also a member of the board of Euforma AG.

During the 2006 World Cup in Germany, Jürgen Aust looked after the referees who were used in Cologne for the World Cup games. He also appears regularly as a referee in the so-called blind kick in the broadcasts WM Total and TV total by Stefan Raab .

On 19 January 2008 and 23 May 2009 Aust headed for the TV show Schlag den Raab the football tennis , and on 6 June 2008, the car Ball Championship and on 29 May 2009 the German Eisfußball Cup . Aust also looks after the referees at international matches in Cologne and Leverkusen.

In July 2016, Aust was elected Vice President by the delegates at the Association Day of the Mittelrhein Football Association.
