Soccer tennis

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Football tennis is a ball sport that has an official FIFTA association and world championships .

history

Football tennis has its origins in the former Czechoslovakia. The sport has been played there since 1922 or 1936 (the exact year is researched by the Czech Football Tennis Association) and was first mentioned at that time under the term "fotbal přes šňůru" (German: football over a string). In 1940 a set of rules was drawn up for the first time for a tournament in the village of Montana na Berounce . The growing popularity of the sport and the increasing frequency of independent tournaments raised voices calling for a football tennis league. So in 1953 the Trampská league was created , a tournament with 10 teams in two groups, initially only from the Czech part of Czechoslovakia. From 1963 at the latest, this sport "Nohejbal" (Czech and Slovak names) was also spread in Slovakia. From 1969 the first national championships took place in the triple in Czechoslovakia, two years later in doubles, both initially as a tournament. It was not until 1972 that a nationwide league was established with regular play, and Solidarita Praha became the first champion . In 1987 the FIFtA ( Federation International Footballtennis Association ) was founded, which hosted the first European championship in 1991. In Germany, soccer tennis was first played in the 1950s. Schnürles , as this game is also called, was introduced by the Pforzheim football idol Fritz Schnürle . As a trainer in the Pforzheim area, he contributed significantly to the spread of the word. The Bretten athlete Gernot Bittner also helped the sport to gain a certain regional fame in the second half of the 20th century.

General rules for all disciplines

The playing field

The pitch:

    • for single: 9 × 12.8 m
    • for doubles and triples: 9 × 18.0 m
  • The playing field is divided into two halves by a net. The lines are 5 + 1 cm wide.
  • The baseline and sideline are part of the playing field.
  • For sporting and safety reasons, there must be enough space for the players to the side and behind the baseline adjacent to the playing field:
    • sideways: at least 3 m
    • behind the baseline: at least 3.5 m
  • The playing field must have a maximum incline of 1% and no bumps that are more than 2 cm or have a sharp edge.

The network

  • Definition: Only the part that is above the pitch between the touchlines counts as a net. The net length can be defined by two round bars made of metal or plastic (in exceptional cases also wood) that stand on the side lines. The poles are part of the network.
  • The net must be stretched so that it is 110 cm high at all points of the net (max. Deviation + 2 cm).

The distance between the lower part of the net and the ground must not be more than 20 cm. The height of the net for children up to twelve years is 100 cm. If the net height falls below the height limit during a rally, e.g. B. because a support rod has slipped or broken, the rally is repeated.

The ball

The official FIFTA ball parameters:

  • Generation: glued (not sewn), 32 surfaces
  • Color: black and white
  • Material: synthetic or natural leather
  • Weight: 396–453 g
  • Circumference: 680–710 mm
  • Jump height: 660–720 mm (after dropping the ball from a height of 1 m with the valve pointing upwards)
  • Atmospheric pressure: 60-65 kPa

Game start

  • The team (player) that has won the election can choose between the half of the field they want to start on or the service.
  • Before the beginning of the third and decisive movement, i.e. H. Both teams have each won a set, the points scored from these two sets are added together. The team that has scored more points may choose again between side or service. In the event of a tie, another election will take place.

surcharge

  • The service is performed with the foot and behind the baseline and within the extended sidelines.
  • Permitted types of surcharge:
    • Volley after throw-up
    • after the ball has hit the ground
    • as a drop kick
    • straight from the ground

Neither the ball nor the foot may touch the playing field (including lines) when performing the service. The ball is played out of the hand (from the hands) or off the ground.

  • The service must take place within 5 seconds after the referee has given the signal (whistle).
  • The ball must be played over the net and land within the opponent's service area.
  • If the ball touches the edge of the net during service, but still hits the service area, the service is repeated.
  • The service is always carried out by the team that won the point.
  • The players of the opposing team may only touch the service ball after it has hit their half.

The ball in play

  • Number of maximum ground contact of the ball:
    • Single: 1
    • Doubles: 2
    • Triple: 2

During play, after the ball has crossed the net, it does not have to hit the ground before it can be played (exception for service).

  • Number of maximum body touches of the ball:
    • Single: 2
    • Doubles: 3
    • Triple: 3
  • The player is allowed to touch the ball with all parts of the body except the hands and arms.
  • Except in singles, the ball may not be touched twice in a row.
  • The ball may only come to the ground within the playing field. If the ball hits the ground outside the field of play, the team that touched the ball last loses the point.
  • If a strange object (e.g. a dog) touches the ball, a player or the playing field, the point is repeated.
  • The net must not be touched by any player, even if the rally has already ended.
  • The ball was only played correctly if it was played directly over the net (not on the floor) and landed in the opposing field.
  • During the game it is allowed to push away the opponent's leg, which is held over the net in the own half of the game, with the body (but not with the arms or legs).

Tournaments

Like soccer and other popular sports, soccer tennis is a tournament sport in which world and national championships are held.

Football tennis as football training

In addition to being carried out as an independent sport, soccer tennis can also be used for technical training of soccer players. It can be played in a relatively small space; the players are required to dose their shots precisely and to pass them precisely; The elimination of goals eliminates the risk of dangers, so that soccer tennis can be played on fields where soccer is not possible or allowed.

Football tennis in disabled sports

The game is played on a field that is 20 × 8 m. Due to the risk of injury, the field is separated with a line and not with a net. A team consists of 4 players. At the latest on the third ball contact, the ball must be played into the opposing field. Neither the ball nor the body may touch the line. The game is played with a volleyball and the line is 1 m high.

The game is played 2 × 7 minutes. If you win you get 2 points and if you tie you get 1 point each.
