Thiago Rockenbach da Silva (born February 1, 1985 in Marechal Cândido Rondon, Paraná ) is a Brazilian football player .
Career
The attacking midfielder came to Werder Bremen in 2002 via the Brazilian club Maricilio Dias , where he was part of the regional league team. In the Bremen professional team, he did not get beyond several participations in the training units.
For the 2007/08 season Rockenbach da Silva left Bremen and moved to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt , where he signed a contract for two years plus a mutual option to extend the contract. With Erfurt he qualified for the newly created 3rd division , in which he made his professional debut against Dynamo Dresden at the beginning of the season .
For the 2010/11 season, the second division Fortuna Düsseldorf signed Rockenbach da Silva. After only two short appearances in the first half of the season, the contract, which ran until 2012, was terminated early by mutual agreement on December 29, 2010. During the winter break of 2010/11, the midfielder moved to RB Leipzig , where he was promoted to the 3rd football league in the 2012/13 season .
Under coach Alexander Zorniger , he hardly got any playing time in the 2013/14 season , so he switched to the Hertha BSC regional league team on loan in the second half of the season . In summer 2014 he moved permanently to Hertha BSC, summer 2015 to BFC Dynamo . After two years with the former record champions of the GDR , Rockenbach da Silva signed in the summer of 2017 for two years with the former Bundesliga club Tennis Borussia Berlin in the Oberliga Nordost . In the 2019/20 season, he joined the Berlin league club Berlin United.
