Career

A native Breisgauer Buhrer grew km in around 25 north of Freiburg located Freiamt on. His parents' house was right next to the club grounds of SV Ottoschwanden 1960 , where he started playing football at the age of four. In July 1996 he moved to SC Freiburg as a C-youth and went through all other age groups there.

At the U-20 World Cup in 2003 in the United Arab Emirates , Bührer was nominated for midfield by coach Uli Stielike , but was not used. In total, he played two international matches for the U-20 national team .

In January 2004, Bührer received a professional contract with SC Freiburg and was henceforth considered a perspective or supplementary player for the flank. He made his second division debut on May 3, 2006 (32nd matchday) in a 2-1 away win over Hansa Rostock , in which he even prepared Karim Matmour's goal for the interim 1: 1 in the 30th minute of the game.

In the winter break of the 2007/08 season Bührer left Freiburg and moved to the regional league team Sportfreunde Siegen . From there he moved to the regional division Rot-Weiss Essen in July 2008 . In June 2010 he signed a one-year contract with third division Dynamo Dresden , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the season. Since his contract with Dynamo Dresden was not extended, Bührer had to look for a new club for the 2011/12 season. He found what he was looking for at the top division of Baden-Württemberg, Bahlinger SC , who signed him. With the club he rose to the regional league after the 2014/15 season .

For the 2017/18 season, Dennis Bührer also took over the position of assistant coach at Bahlinger SC. After his career as a player at the end of this season, he took over the team as head coach. In his first year, he led the team to the championship in the major league and promotion to the regional league.
