The SV Bonlanden is a sports club from Filderstadt townspeople suburb Bonlanden .

history

The SV Bonlanden (then Turnverein Bonlanden) was founded on August 4th, 1895. For a long time, outstanding successes were reserved for athletes in the athletics and gymnastics department. In 1921 the FC Pfeil was founded which, like the "Rot Sport" founded a little later, was mainly connected to football. In 1933 all three clubs were "united" to form TV Bonlanden. On September 7, 1945 the club was re-established under the name Sportverein Bonlanden. In 1977 Kurt Adam (junior) head of the football department and the club policy were realigned in significant points, football was given a higher priority and was supported for the first time with sponsoring activities that are still bearing fruit today. Until the late 1980s, the club played in lower amateur leagues. In 1988 SV Bonlanden was able to move up to the Württemberg Association League for the first time , from which, however, they had to relegate again in 1990. The promotion to the Association League Württemberg succeeded in 1994.

In 1995, just in time for its 100th anniversary, SV Bonlanden was promoted to the league for the first time - coach Peter Starzmann and player Ralf Vollmer played a key role in this. 1996 was the most successful year in the club's history so far. In addition to the successful relegation in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg , the team won the WFV Cup this season (final against SpVgg Au 1-0 - goal scorer Alexander Blessin ) and was thus qualified for the first main round of the DFB Cup . There they were unfortunately defeated by VfL Bochum 2: 4 a. V. In this game, Patrick “Emil” Schweizer scored the “Zosch” goal of the month (election of the goal of the month of the then SDR - today SWR ).

SV Bonlanden was able to establish itself in the top third of the table for six years in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg. In 2001 the club was relegated and immediately promoted again the following year. Now the SVB became the elevator team and was most recently able to rise again to the upper league by winning the championship in the Württemberg Association League in 2006.

In 2007 , however, relegation to the Württemberg Association League took place again. On the last match day of the 2008/09 association league season, SV Bonlanden secured the championship and was thus able to rise again to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga. The top scorer of the league played a decisive role in this: Bernd Eckhardt secured the promotion with over 30 goals. In the league season 2009/10 , however, the competition turned out to be too strong, so that the SVB had to relegate back to bottom of the table straight away. In 2010/11 the interplay between the association league and the upper league continued, in which the SV rose again to the fifth division as association league champion and immediately relegated to the association league again in 2011/12 . In 2014 he was relegated to the regional league, and in 2016 to the district league.
