The TSV Wäldenbronn-Esslingen is a sports club from which to Esslingen belonging district Wäldenbronn north of the city.
history
The club was founded on September 20, 1896 as the Turnverein Wäldenbronn . The TSV Wäldenbronn was formed in 1946 through the merger of the gymnastics club with the sports club Wäldenbronn .
The soccer department founded in 1939 had its most successful period in the 1990s. After being promoted to the Württemberg Association League in 1992 , the club achieved the runner-up championship and promotion to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga , which was the highest amateur class at the time, after just two seasons . The TSV Wäldenbronn-Esslingen was able to assert itself here from 1994 to 1998. Best placement was the sixth place in the first league season 1994/95.
After relegation in 1998 they played two years in the association league. With the descent in 2000, TSVW disappeared from national football. In the 2011/2012 season, after more than a decade of the district league, the club made the long-awaited return to the district league. The sovereign rise could already be made clear a few game days before the end, with an advantage of 8 points. After relegation from the Neckar-Fils regional league in 2015, they played in the A Neckar / Fils regional league, season 1. There the team was withdrawn after the 16th matchday in the 2015/16 season.
