Franco Petruso (born  August 18, 1988 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German-Italian soccer player .

In his youth, Petruso played for SG Eintracht Sirnau, TSV Wäldenbronn and the Stuttgarter Kickers . In the summer of 2006, the midfielder was transferred to the second team of the Kickers. After he had previously played six games for the first team, he moved to the 2008/09 season in the professional squad of the Kickers, who had qualified for the first season of the 3rd division . Franco Petruso made his professional debut on May 16, 2009, in the 2-0 defeat of the Kickers against Werder Bremen II , when he came on in the 66th minute. At this point in time, the Stuttgarter Kickers were already relegated to the Regionalliga Süd. For the 2010/11 season Petruso moved to SV Ebersbach in the Württemberg regional league. In the summer of 2012 he signed the upper division SSV Reutlingen 05 . There he mostly came on as a substitute. In the summer of 2013 he joined 1. FC Heiningen, where he played in the national league again. In the two following seasons he drew attention to himself with 35 and 32 goals respectively and rose with his team in 2015 to the Württemberg Association League . In the summer of 2016 he signed the first division club 1. Göppinger SV . Things went very well for him there until he tore a cruciate ligament in a game at KSC in the 90th minute and was subsequently unable to continue his performance. As a result, he did not accept the contract offer from Göppingen and went to Nafi Stuttgart again in the state league. Here he again played a good season until the club became insolvent and he stopped playing after the preliminary round. Since 2019 he has been playing again at SV Ebersbach in the regional league
