Jürgen Makan (born July 5, 1960 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Jürgen Makan came as a teenager from SC Käfertal to SV Waldhof Mannheim in 1974 and made his debut as a professional (2nd Bundesliga) on November 5, 1978 against Karlsruher SC (1: 1). From 1980 at the latest, the offensive player came to regular appearances in the first team, which was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1983 with coach Klaus Schlappner . In 1983/84 he made 22 Bundesliga appearances, one season later there were only seven. In 1985 he left SV Waldhof and went to 1. FC Saarbrücken , also a Bundesliga club. There he came only to six league and two cup appearances and left the club after only one season that ended with relegation. Then he was still active for SV Sandhausen in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg.
