Peter Loontiens

Peter Loontiens (born September 16, 1958 in Dinslaken ) is a former German soccer player who was active as a professional until 1987.

After his youth at SuS Dinslaken and VfB Lohberg , Loontiens first played for two years in the Association League Niederrhein at Hamborn 07 , with whom he rose to the Oberliga Nordrhein in 1980 . In the following years he became a professional football player and played for Borussia Mönchengladbach (1980–82), Bayer 05 Uerdingen (1982–1986), Hertha BSC (1986/87), Viktoria Aschaffenburg (1987/1988) and at the end of his career at Prussia Krefeld (1988/1989).

In 1985 Peter Loontiens won the DFB Cup with Bayer Uerdingen . The trained industrial clerk , who now works as an insurance specialist in an LVM branch in Mönchengladbach , played a total of 73 games in the Bundesliga and scored 20 goals. In the 2nd Bundesliga he scored 14 goals in 52 missions.
