Uwe Bialon (born August 20, 1963 in Aalen ) is a former German professional football player . He made his career in Germany, Cyprus and Switzerland.

Athletic career

Bialon began playing football at TSV Essingen and later switched to the juniors at VfR Aalen and VfB Stuttgart . The striker won the German championship title once with VfB's A-youth team , and was once German runner-up. In the 1982/83 season he was accepted into the professional squad and played a Bundesliga game. Subsequently, he played for BV 08 Lüttringhausen , Tennis Borussia Berlin , Hertha BSC and SG Wattenscheid 09 , among others , and made a number of appearances in the second division.

In 1987 Bialon moved to the Cypriot first division club Pezoporikos Larnaka and contributed to winning the championship in the 1987/88 season. In the following season Bialon played with the team in the European Cup of National Champions in 1988/89 . Although he was eliminated with the team in the first round against the Swedish representative IFK Göteborg , he still remained loyal to the Mediterranean island and Cypriot football. In the following years the club achieved placements in the upper middle of the table. Bialon became a crowd favorite and was celebrated as the “German Tank” because of his passionate and physically emphasized style of play. In 1994, great upheavals shaped the club: On the one hand, the Scottish head coach Smith died of heart failure, on the other hand, the club merged with local rivals EPA Larnaka. Bialon did not extend his contract term with the newly founded club AEK Larnaka and moved to AEL Limassol within the Cypriot football club . After one season he moved to the Swiss second division club FC Sursee .

After his career abroad, Bialon returned to Germany for family reasons and moved to Berlin with his family. In the last few years of his playing career in Berlin amateur football he had successes with u. a. Tasmania Berlin. Until the end of his career he was known for his hard and well-placed shot. In the 2017/18 season he rose to the top of the national league with the over 50 kickers from FC Viktoria 1889.

Bialon works as an amateur trainer. He took over the team management u. a. of the Berlin club Olympiakos Berlin (now known as FC Hellas) , BFC Germania 1888 , SC Union Südost and in Brandenburg of the BSC Prussia 07 Blankenfelde-Mahlow and the Brandenburg league club Ludwigsfelder FC . With the BSC Preußen 07 Blankenfelde-Mahlow, Bialon reached second place in the Brandenburgische Landesliga Süd in the 2009/10 season and just missed promotion to the Brandenburg League (Association League).

For the 2017/18 season, Bialon was a coach at Friedenauer TSC. The Schöneberg club was relegated from the Berlin State League (season 1) in the 2016/17 season. With a newly put together team, Bialon managed to rise again in the state league as runner-up in the Berlin district league (season 1).
