The Ingolstadt-Ringsee railway sports club is a multi-disciplinary sports club from the Ringsee district of Ingolstadt , which gained fame through the success of its soccer department. The club colors are black and white. Aikido , fishing , badminton , basketball , fistball , floorball , handball , judo , karate , athletics , cycling , sailing , dance , tennis , table tennis , triathlon , gymnastics , volleyball are all practiced today .

history

When it was founded in 1919, the club was called FC Viktoria Ingolstadt , and from October 1921 VfR Ingolstadt . On June 6, 1925, the merger with the Spielvereinigung from Ringsee, which had split off from TV Ringsee in the course of the clean divorce, was completed to form VfB Ingolstadt-Ringsee . Its soccer team played first class in the Gauliga Bayern from 1936 to 1938 .

After the Second World War , the club was re-established on December 28, 1946 under the name VfL Ingolstadt-Ringsee , via Erste-SV Ingolstadt-Ringsee (from June 1, 1951) the name was finally changed to the Ingolstadt-Ringsee Railway Sports Club at the end of 1953 eV The soccer department won the German amateur championship in 1979 after final games against Hertha Zehlendorf and played two seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga from 1979 to 1981 . In 2004, the ESV football department at FC Ingolstadt 04 was opened, and football has not been played at the ESV since then.
