Success as a trainer

In 1995 he led VfL Wolfsburg into the final of the DFB Cup , but at the time of the final he was no longer coach of VfL Wolfsburg. A year later it looked the other way round: he was able to win this competition with 1. FC Kaiserslautern , but had not led the club to the final himself. However, he could not prevent the club's first relegation from the Bundesliga in the same year, so the cup final was his last competitive game as a coach in Kaiserslautern. In 1998 Krautzun won the CAF Cup with CS Sfaxien .
