The CAF Confederation Cup ( German CAF Konföderationspokal ), 1992-2003 CAF Cup , is the second largest African soccer competition for club teams, organized by the African Football Association CAF. In 2004 the CAF Cup, which had been held until then, following the European example, was merged with the African Cup Winners' Cup , which was last played in 2003 , and continued as the CAF Confederation Cup . The competition sponsor is the telecommunications company Orange , based in Paris. The winner qualifies for the African Supercup .
