Stade Malien is a football club from the Malian capital Bamako .
The association was formed in 1960 when Jeanne d'Arc du Soudan and Espérance Bamako merged. Jeanne d'Arc was founded in 1939 by the French missionary Bouvier and won the Coupe d'AOF in 1953 and 1956 . After the merger, the club got numerous titles in the national championship and in the cup.
The home ground of the club, which plays in white and blue, is the Stade du 26 mars in Bamako.
In 2009, when it won the CAF Confederation Cup, it was the greatest international success ever for a Malian club.
