UNIFFAC Clubs Cup

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Uniffac Clubs Cup ( French : Coupe UNIFFAC of clubs ), is a football club competition in Central Africa , which played annually since the 2004 season and the Central African Football Federations' Union (UNIFFAC), a subsidiary organization of the CAF is organized . One club from Equatorial Guinea , Gabon , Cameroon , DR Congo , Republic of the Congo , São Tomé and Príncipe , Chad and the Central African Republic are eligible to participate . The exact criteria for participation are so far unclear. With the exception of the first event in which only two clubs took part, the game is played in two groups of four teams each with a return leg. The first two in each group qualify for the semi-finals, which, like the final, will also be played in a two-legged manner. Due to the financial difficulties of many clubs in the region, it has not been held since 2007.
