Morten Andreas Strøksnes (born November 30, 1965 in Kirkenes ) is a Norwegian journalist, photographer and writer.

life and work

Strøksnes studied philosophy, literature and history in Oslo and Cambridge . Today he lives as a journalist and author in Oslo. After graduating, he worked as an editor at Morgenbladet until 2004 . He writes essays, portraits and reviews for most of the major Norwegian newspapers such as the Stavanger Aftenblad, the Bergens Tidende , Nordlys and Adresseavisen . In Norway he published several non-fiction books with reports on the Congo , the Sierra Madre and the Middle East . Strøksnes became known to a wider audience in 2015 with his novel Havboka - eller Kunsten å fange en kjempehai fra en gummibåt på et stort hav gjennom fire årstider ( Eng . The Book of the Sea ).
