Karl-Heinz Knaup (* 1950 in Sonthofen ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Karl Knaup completed his acting training from 1972 to 1975 at the Zinner Studio in Munich. In 2000 he attended an acting workshop based on Michael Chekhov's acting technique with Daniele Legler . Stations of his stage career included the comedy on Kurfürstendamm , the Theater im Zimmer , the Bad Hersfeld Festival and the Paderborn Theater .

In the cinema you could see Knaup for the first time in 1981 in the film Jaipur Junction . This was followed by films such as Wildfire , the international production, Broken Chains - The Revenge of the Prisoners or My Beautiful Neighbor . Since the beginning of the 1990s he has also been a very busy television actor and regularly takes on episode roles in various series, e.g. B. at Police Call 110 , at Tatort , in Das Duo , Wolffs Revier , The Rosenheim Cops or The Public Prosecutor . Furthermore, in 1997 Knaup was seen in all episodes of the 13-part RTL series Die Feuerengel as Matthias Bünting , in 1999 in the ZDF series Zwei Männer am Herd he embodied the character of Günter Pohlmann in nine episodes .

In addition, Karl Knaup is extensively involved in dubbing. Karl Knaup speaks several languages, including fluent English, French and Italian. He lives in Munich and is the younger brother of the singer Renate Knaup and the older brother of the actor Herbert Knaup , with whom he stood in front of the camera in the rogue thriller Milchgeld .
