action

During the Second World War , some American soldiers prisoners of war in Germany managed to escape from the camp using a tunnel they dug themselves. Two German officers are on the heels of the refugees and want to recapture them at all costs. Little by little the Americans are discovered and cruelly murdered by the Germans. Only Major John Dodge manages to leave Germany. When the war is over, he returns to Germany on his own with a friend to avenge his comrades.

reception

The film was nominated for an Emmy in 1989 in the category “Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Miniseries or a Special” .

“The lengthy, novel-like storyline is increasingly turning into a revenge thriller that cannot stand comparison with Sturges' documentary film; Thanks to solid actors and effective dramaturgy, it is still largely exciting. "
