Dick Hein "Derek" de Lint (born July 17, 1950 in The Hague ) is a Dutch actor .

Life

Derek de Lint studied at the Art Academy in Enschede and later at the Cabaret Academy in Amsterdam .

He got his first film role in the 1976 film Barocco . In 1977 he played the role of Alex in the Paul Verhoeven film The Soldier of Orange . In 1986, de Lint took on the role of Anton Steenwijk in the film The Attack , which won an Oscar in 1987 for best foreign language film. In 2006 he played in Verhoeven's Black Book as Gerben Kuipers.

In Germany, de Lint is best known for the role of Franz in The Unbearable Lightness of Being and for the TV series Poltergeist - The Unheimliche Macht .
