Blutsschwestern is a German television film by Walter Weber from 2011. It is the 47th episode of the crime series A strong team with Maja Maranow and Florian Martens in the leading roles.

action

Chief Detective Verena Berthold and colleague Otto Garber have to solve the death of 28-year-old Miriam Förster. Her car was hit by a train at an open level crossing, but the forensic examination reveals that the young woman was murdered before the collision. She had only recently returned from Bali, where she had lived for the past eight years, and was temporarily staying with her school friend Nicole Soders because she still wanted to find a suitable apartment for herself. The investigators quickly find out that Miriam had had unrestrained fun with her friend's husband in the short time. Accordingly, there was tension, but according to the friend's statement, this was not a major problem for her. Research in the personal environment of the victim leads to further friends. One of them, Jennifer Stude, had lived with Miriam in Bali for some time and she reports that her friend was addicted to drugs. Accordingly, she suspects that Miriam could have messed with a dealer.

New clues emerge when an attack is carried out on Anna-Lena Reibert, another friend of Miriam. Somebody cut the brake lines in your car and Commissioner Berthold sees a connection.

During their investigation, Reddemann's team comes across a ten-year-old murder that has never been solved. The brother of Annika Gehrcke, who died at the time, accuses the four blood sisters of being responsible for the death of his sister, who allegedly had thrown herself off a rock. Accordingly, the investigators roll up the old case again and as a result Nicole Soders tries to commit suicide. Although everything looks like this old story led to a late act of revenge by Henning Gehrcke on Miriam Förster, Verena Berthold realizes the real reason. Immediately after her return, Miriam had done everything to raise money for her new start in Germany. Accordingly, she had blackmailed everyone she could hope for starting capital. She wanted her child back from Jennifer Stude, which she had given birth to a few months ago in Bali, but which she initially did not want and had therefore left to her friend. Now she wanted it back after all and so she was killed by Jennifer Stude without further ado, who did not want to give the child back at any price.

Henning Gehrcke admits the attack on Anna-Lena Reibert because he learned from Miriam for a reasonable amount that she was responsible for the death of his sister.

Reviews

Rainer Tittelbach from Tittelbach.tv wrote: “The 47th case of the 'Strong Team' delivers rock-solid crime entertainment. Varied killer rates for the less sophisticated demands. The basis for this is provided by a clearly structured, easy-to-understand book with a manageable, not too complicated figure constellation. "

Jürgen Kirsch assessed the following atquotemeter.de: “Director Walter Weber has turned the good script template into a strong crime film […].” Only “The romantic elements of the film do not really fit and work with the 'Blood Sisters' case thus partly out of place. "

The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm give the best rating (thumbs up) and say: "Middle-class crime scene - with room for improvement."

Tilmann P. Gangloff wrote for Kino.de : "The film succeeds [...] with the perfect mix of crime and comedy [...] [and makes fun of] the protagonists in a loving way without ever denouncing them." the character traits may seem a bit clichéd ", but the screenwriter showed the" right feeling for exciting and relaxing moments. "
