Albert Espinosa

The film Stationspiraten of Michael Schaerer is a Swiss remake of the Spanish film Planta 4ª ( 2003 , Antonio Mercero ) from the year 2010 .

The story is based on the partly autobiographical play Los Pelones by Albert Espinosa and is about five young people in a hospital cancer ward.

Espinosa spent a large part of his youth in the hospital because of his cancer and lost a leg. He later wrote a script from this story.
