Max Hubacher (* 1993 in Bern ) is a Swiss actor .

Live and act

Max Hubacher appeared in a children's theater in the Bernese district of Breitenrain at the age of seven . At the age of thirteen he was seen in Robert Walser's Liebestraum at the Schauspielhaus Zurich .

He made his debut as a film actor in 2010 in the film Station Pirates , where he played a boy with cancer. He became known to a wider audience through the title role in the film drama Der Verdingbub , directed by Markus Imboden . This was followed by appearances in the Swiss Tatort Dirty Thursday and a supporting role in Night Train to Lisbon .

In the summer of 2012, he graduated from school with the Matura . He has lived in Leipzig since 2014 and studies drama at the University of Music and Theater .

In the 2017 movie Der Hauptmann , Hubacher played the main role of Willi Herold . The film was also released in US cinemas in July 2018.
