Carolyn Sophia Genzkow (born July 11, 1992 ) is a German actress from Hamburg .

life and career

Carolyn Genzkow is the daughter of a surgeon and a general practitioner working in Hamburg-Eidelstedt . In 2010 she graduated from the Emilie-Wüstenfeld-Gymnasium in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel . Then she went to Tanzania for nine months , where she looked after orphans. In addition to her acting activities, Genzkow is studying psychology and completed an internship in psychiatry in 2016 . In 2019 she graduated with a master's degree.

At the age of seven, Genzkow was approached on the street to take part in an advertising shoot. Then she got further orders for photo and television work. Her acting career began at the age of ten with commercials for T-Mobile . From 2007 she played a recurring role in the series Doctor Martin . For her role in Aelrun Goette's television film No Fear , she won the German Television Award 2010 . In 2010 she played a leading role in the television film Civil Courage alongside Götz George . She received the Audience Award of the Marler Gruppe at the Grimme Prize 2011 for her performance . Since 2012 she has played the film daughter Kiki Baumann of leading actress Simone Thomalla in the ZDF television series Frühling .

Since the crime scene episode Das Muli , the first case of the newly introduced Berlin investigation team Rubin and Karow in March 2015 , she has played the role of the intern Anna Feil .

In 2015, as 17-year-old Tina , she played her first leading role in the cinema in Der Nachtmahr , directed by Achim Bornhak (AKIZ).

In 2020, Genzkow announced that she would end her acting career to work full-time as a psychologist .

She lives in Berlin.
