occupation

Spring is a German television series that has been produced for ZDF since 2010 based on a text by Natalie Scharf . The main role of Katja Baumann is played by Simone Thomalla .

The films tell the stories of a village helper who stands by families in emergency situations and which happens “hand in hand” in the vicinity of a village called Frühling and the local aid organization. Through her talent for listening to people, the village helper becomes more of a kind of social worker who knows how to carry spring into families who have experienced or suffered a stroke of fate.

action

Katja Baumann separates from her unfaithful husband Peter and starts from the beginning. She quits her job as a nurse and moves with her seventeen-year-old daughter Kiki to the Alpine village of Frühling to work as a village helper. There she met the veterinarian Mark Weber, who would like to enter into a relationship with her. But Katja is not ready for it yet, she just wants him to be by her side as a “sexless” friend. Peter Baumann makes one last attempt to save his marriage, but fails and gives up. When Katja finally admits to like Mark more than she initially wanted to allow, Mark remembers an "old" love. He successfully makes contact with Sophie, who unceremoniously moves in with him after spring . Disappointed, Katja turns to her daughter who, after having made love with the village boy Matze Gmeiner, is now in love with the painter Sam. All five now live together under one roof. Over time, Sophie noticed that for Mark she was only the “No. Two "is. His thoughts continue to revolve around Katja, which Sophie can no longer bear and leaves him again. But Katja is not free for Mark, she falls in love with the Turkish dentist Cem, who would like to see Katja move to Berlin with him, but since she has just taken over the management of the village helpers' station, they both decide to have a long-distance relationship to lead. Kiki briefly comes into contact with Matze Gmeiner, who suddenly appears again. On the advice of her mother, she decides to start training at the local hospital, but breaks it off when she makes a mistake and a patient has to undergo additional surgery. Nevertheless, her medical talent should be promoted and when she was given the opportunity to study in Philadelphia, she took advantage of this and went to America.

Katja's relationship with Cem is developing as hesitantly as she had feared. After a difference of opinion regarding Katja's father, a dispute breaks out and she turns to her landlord and veterinarian Mark Weber. He cannot enjoy his happiness for long because he has to go away again. This time his father is ill in Leipzig and he wants to look after him for the time that the old man has left. Since he doesn't know how long this will be, he sells his house in spring , so that Katja has to deal with a new landlord. Jan Steinmann moves in with his teenage son Adrian, but is mostly on the road herself and Katja “may” take care of Adrian. Mark doesn't give up hope of becoming a couple with Katja after all. Despite the distance, he comes to visit more often and by phone he is always mentally present and often a "suggestion box" for Katja. To the delight of their daughter Kiki, the three of them spend a Christmas vacation in the Alps.
