Cristina do Rego (born April 26, 1986 in Anchieta , Espírito Santo , Brazil ) is a German- Brazilian actress .

life and career

Do Rego was born as the first daughter of a German nurse and a Brazilian actor. Before the family moved to Germany in 1993, they had already gained stage experience at the side of their father. From 2005 to 2006 she lived with her family in Siddinghausen (Büren) and attended the 'Antonianum' high school in Geseke , where she did her A-levels. At the same time, filming of Pastewka took place in Cologne , after finishing school she moved to Cologne because of the ongoing filming, while filming Turkish for Beginners she lived in Berlin.

The artistic path in Germany began with the mini playback show , followed by many appearances with jazz , hip-hop and show dance groups, until it was discovered in 2000 by the Cologne agency Schwarz. She played, among others, in Besser als Schule , Stromberg , Die Sitte , Rick and Olli and as a member of the ensemble she received the German Comedy Award 2006 and the German Television Award 2006 for her role as Kim in Pastewka .

In the movie Die Welle , which won the German Film Award in the categories of Best Supporting Actor and Best Fiction Film in 2008, she plays the role of Lisa .

In summer 2008 she was in front of the camera for the filming of the series Turkish for Beginners , where she played the role of Katharina Kuhn , the best friend of the main character Lena Schneider . From 2009 to 2011 she played the role of sister Ingeborg in Doctor's Diary .

Since 2017, Cristina do Rego has played the Portuguese veterinarian Filippa Furtado in the spring television series broadcast on ZDF .
