action

Vet Mark Weber is on his way back from Katja's surprise birthday and collides with a horse. Although he is actually on the way to Leipzig, he gives the young rider Charlotte the promise to take care of her stallion again. Little does he know that he has to deal with Charlotte's mother Luisa because she does not want to have the animal treated. She thinks the stallion is dangerous and blames him for her husband's fatal riding accident a year ago. Mark realizes that he will have to stay a while longer in spring and suggests taking Henry in for the duration of the treatment and together with Filippa he devotedly takes care of the animal, which obviously suffers from the rejection of its owner. Mark learns that Charlotte's mother is partly to blame for her husband's accident. Therefore he hopes that Luisa and Henry can find each other again and that this could be the solution to the whole problem.

As village helper Katja Baumann, as always, takes care of people in the spring community who need their help. This time it is the doctor Dr. Schneiderhahn, with whom Katja is also a private friend. Dr. Schneiderhahn worries about her mother Elisa, who suffers from an inoperable brain tumor and does not have long to live. Katja helps with the care of the old woman and learns about her dearest wish: Elisa would like to go back to the island of Sylt , where she had had the happiest times with her deceased husband. In order to grant Elisa her last wish, Katja and Dr. Schneiderhahn everything in motion and with the support of clinic director Gabriels, they organize an ambulance so that the old lady can see the sea again. However, the way to the North Sea is too far and the ladies simply take the shorter route south to Grado to get to the sea. Elisa noticed the dizziness in the end, but is happy to feel the sand underfoot again .

criticism

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv said: “In this episode”, a “mother-daughter conflict is dealt with twice.” One is taken over by village helper Katja as usual, the other is “in the area of responsibility of vet Mark”. What is sometimes “pleasantly noticeable: Baumann is constantly interfering, even if she likes to assert that all these family matters are actually none of her business, but the problems that await in spring arise less and less solely from her work for the 'Hand in hand '. "

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm gave this episode a "thumbs straight". They judged: "Nicely worded wisdom and lessons about letting go - in a shallow environment." Conclusion: "Well meant, nicely played, honestly told."
