Spring Whispers is a German television film from the spring television series by Michael Karen . It was first broadcast on ZDF on February 2, 2014 .

The film continues the story of the village helper Katja Baumann ( Simone Thomalla ), who supports families in emergency situations. It is the fifth film in a series that focuses on people who live in a village called Spring .

action

Village helper Katja's latest case leads her to the Aigner family. The heavily pregnant Claudia Aigner was prescribed bed rest by the doctor until the birth of her second child. Katja's job is to take care of the household and the family's four-year-old daughter, since the child's father, Martin Aigner, is busy with his own driving school. Compared to Katja's previous assignments, it seems to be a less difficult task, which suits her well, since she still has her hands full with her move. She recently moved into an apartment in the house of the veterinarian Mark Weber. To the regret of the doctor, Mark has only had a purely platonic friendship so far.

In the middle of the night, Martin Aigner informed Katja by phone that his wife had been brought to the hospital and that she did not need to appear the next morning, but would later pick up his daughter from kindergarten. When Katja arrives a little earlier than Aigner expected, she catches Martin Aigner and the young driving instructor Andi employed by him in a clear hug. Katja is confused and unsure how to react, especially because the Aigners' marriage was considered exemplary, an impression that she too had gained. She shies away from telling Claudia Aigner about the incident, as this is not her job, but that of Martin Aigner. But he has a problem with it, because he was brought up in such a way that homosexuality is a major flaw and is not tolerated, let alone accepted, by his family. Katja is at the mercy of her conflicting feelings. On the one hand, she would like to inform the young mother, who has since given birth to a healthy girl, of her husband's infidelity. On the other hand, she becomes aware that she must not automatically transfer her hurt feelings, triggered by cheating on her husband, to others.

What it looks like, someone still knows about the relationship, because Martin Aigner has been receiving anonymous letters and calls for some time. He gets more and more distressed and doesn't know how to get his problems under control. But Katja can at least help him to the extent that she finds out that one of the learner drivers has had a relationship with the young driving instructor Andi for a long time and is now trying everything to separate Martin and Andi. Katja then gets in touch with Andi and asks him to clarify the situation, since Martin cannot do it on his own. Andi then with a heavy heart and without speaking about the real motives, quits his job with Martin in order to enable him to resume his normal life with his family.

Katja's daughter Kiki manages to rekindle the interest of her former friend Matze Gmeiner, who separated from her because of another woman. But after he had disappointed the young woman very deeply, she finally refrains from a new relationship with him.

criticism

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv comes to the conclusion: “There is Katja, the tireless relationship worker who Simone Thomalla plays convincingly, so small (partial) and close to everyday life that you can easily forget how she sometimes acts as a 'crime scene' commissioner annoying. ”[…] The critic goes on to say that the“ typical man-woman conversations […] but also the almost imperceptible little taunts in passing are the particular strengths of this fifth 'spring' episode ”. “And for all the beauty of the landscape, more than ever it is about the narrowness of the Bavarian province. From this narrowness arise life lies - even the youth [start] with them. "Tittelbach ends with the words:" The moods [...] are supported by sunny pictures, an extremely moving (often flying) camera and a very fluid montage. The film language sets a counterpoint to the narrowness of the village. It is also no coincidence that the doctor lives in a detached house on the slope of a meadow. These little escapes are also aimed at the viewer. The dramatic material is transferred to the visual major. The discourse about love becomes an easy lesson, not earth-shattering, but coherent and round. "

The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm show for this episode with the “thumbs to the right”, which corresponds to the judgment “average” and state: “Relaxed, airy, sensitive: a nice splash drama about the dear narrowness of the village world, that of the sun-drenched homeland -filmidyll tries to add some tolerance without overdoing it with modernization (or the dramatic content). ”Conclusion:“ A room fountain turned into melodrama! ”
