Christoph Zirngibl

Christoph Zirngibl (born November 28, 1980 in Regensburg ) is a German composer .

Life

Christoph Zirngibl learned to play drums at the age of five and the piano at the age of 12. From the age of 13 and hearing John Williams' soundtrack to Jurassic Park for the first time , he knew he wanted to be a musician. He played in several bands and music projects and composed his first theater music. During his military service he also played drums in the Bundeswehr band. He then studied film composition from 2003 at the University of Music and Theater in Munich , with Enjott Schneider among others . He graduated in 2007.

After working for a short time as a studio musician and composing the music for several short films, Zirngibl made his debut in 2007 with films such as Kein Bund für's Leben and Neues vom Wixxer as a film composer for German cinema films. Later he worked occasionally with the composer Andreas Weidinger , whom he already knew as a lecturer from his student days and with whom he shares a joint music studio. Together with Helmut Zerlett he was in 2011 for the score of Jerry Cotton for the price of the German Film Critics nominated.
