action

The suburban crocodiles celebrate Hannes' 13th birthday. Maria would like to spend it alone with her boyfriend, but the rest of the gang members thwart this plan and give Hannes a voucher for a go- kart track . Olli goes on vacation with his girlfriend, while Kai travels to a basketball camp. So the remaining crocodiles want to go karting and redeem the voucher. Since the track is closed, they simply borrow the karts and organize a race in a parking garage. This leads to a serious accident: Hannes and Frank collide with each other, and Frank is seriously injured. It becomes clear that he urgently needs a donor liver or at least a partial donation. Only Frank's brother Dennis is eligible as a donor, as his father is an alcoholic. Dennis is still in the prison where the crocodiles brought him. Since he has already made several escape attempts, the prison warden does not want to give him leave under any circumstances.

So the crocodiles create a plan to get Dennis out of prison himself. They are setting up a new headquarters in an empty high-rise office building not far from the prison (the last one was destroyed by an explosion at the end of the second part), from the roof of which they can observe the prison closely. Now one of the crocodiles is supposed to be smuggled into the prison in order to free Dennis and himself with a kind of cable car. Peter applies for a job with an air conditioning technician who is checking and repairing the ventilation system in the prison and is looking for a temporary worker. The air conditioning technician also stutters and therefore finds Peter likeable, so that he gets the job. Meanwhile, Maria tries to get more information about the prison through a young prison guard named Max and pretends that he wants to write an article for the school newspaper on the subject. Hannes is later smuggled into prison by Peter so that he can cut through a window grille in the library with an angle grinder. To hide the noise, Peter and Jenny hold a loud disco party with a dance in front of the prison on a stack of pallets. Meanwhile, Kevin is also intercepted in the city during outdoor activity and is informed about the plan that he is supposed to convey to Dennis, which he is not very enthusiastic about, as he could soon be released because of good conduct.

During the night Hannes still crouches in the ventilation shaft until Kevin brings Dennis out of his cell into the library. To do this, he had to take an imprint of the cell key from Max, which one of the inmates (played by Christian Durstewitz , who contributed the theme music to the film) then copied and secretly handed over to Kevin. But that evening Max suddenly wants to work longer, so Maria, since she can't think of anything else, invites him to the cinema. Hannes is not very enthusiastic about this. Hannes now shoots a rope over the prison wall, to which Peter and Jenny tie a rope on the roof of a building opposite, which Hannes pulls into the prison in order to swing himself and then Dennis over the wall out of the prison. However, the transmitter mast to which the rope was attached on the opposite building roof turned out to be unstable and buckled, so that the rope sags. Hannes does not reach the goal and after the swing ends up hanging over the prison courtyard and the plan is exposed.

The next day, Hannes' mother has to pick up her son from prison because he was initially locked up. The crocodiles are now considering a new plan that also includes Hannes' mother, who first wants to discuss the problem with RTL, but where she is desperate on the hotline. In the meantime, Olli and Kai are also returning from their excursions.

During the first attempt in the ventilation pipe, Hannes noticed a conversation between Dennis and the inmates in the kitchen, during which Dennis made the inmates aware of his kiwi allergy. Frank confirms this to the crocodiles when they visit the sick. So the crocodiles bring Horst Lichter to prison, where he is supposed to cook as a celebrity chef (Maria found out on her tour with Max that star chefs are often guests there) with Jorgo as the new assistant. A soup with a large kiwi fillet is served. Dennis has an allergic attack and is immediately taken to the hospital by Hannes' mother as a doctor in a van that has been converted into an ambulance. The allergic reaction should be satisfied while driving, which is difficult, however, since Hannes and his mother only know a few medical terms and therefore cannot find the syringe with the antiallergic agent straight away. In addition, the prison director drives to the hospital in the front of the car, because he doesn't trust the doctor and Jenny, who drives the van disguised as a nurse and whose camouflage ends up being blown. At the hospital, Dennis is put in a wheelchair, but the prison director mistakenly runs after Kai, who is wearing a JVA sweater. Frank finally receives a liver part donation and his recovery can be celebrated.

In the end, the crocodiles sit together and come to the conclusion that they are now too old for further gang-related adventures. But nobody can take away the memories of their adventures and friendship.

Trivia

  • The storyline of the previous films is continued here. The burglars are taken to prison in the first film. The third burglar, Achmed, does not appear here and is not addressed.
  • In this third film in the series, a character is not played by the same actor as in a previous part for the first time - the father of Frank and Dennis was played by Horst Neugebauer in the first film .
  • 1These actors were on set, but the relevant scenes were cut and can be seen on the DVD and on the Blu-ray in the deleted scenes .
  • Fabian Halbig and Manuel Steitz were temporarily unable to attend due to band appointments and school, so they do not appear in the film at times.
  • Nora Tschirner had blonde hair due to another film she starred in and which was shot at the same time. These were taken into account in the script.
  • Manuel Steitz had his hair cropped short while shooting. In order to increase the recognition value , a hat with a hairline was put on him, which he wears throughout the film.
  • Hannes and Maria quarrel a little in the film: While Maria prefers to be alone with him, Hannes wants to do something with the whole gang. Here Hannes thinks that he has lost Maria to Max, but Maria explains to him in the end that nothing has changed. So the plot is slightly opposite to the second film, in which Maria sees Kai's cousin as a competitor.
  • In the credits of the film, scenes and outtakes from all three films in the series can be seen.

Reviews

The film received an average score of 5.2 from 7 professional film reviews on the Moviepilot website . This corresponds to the judgment uninteresting.

Mehrfilm.de writes : "The third part of the Krokodil series, which has very little to do with Max von der Grün's books, is the most mature but by far the worst of all crocodile parts."

The critic José Garcia thinks that director Wolfgang Groos pulls out all the stops of the action film. The nighttime prison break-in sequence is reminiscent of films like James Bond or Mission Impossible .
