Melika Foroutan (* 1976 in Tehran , Iran ) is a German actress .

Life

Melika Foroutan is the daughter of a German and an Iranian and the sister of the social scientist Naika Foroutan .

From 1995 to 1998 she studied philosophy, English and history at the University of Cologne and from 1999 to 2003 she trained as an actor at the University of the Arts in Berlin . In the 2003/2004 season she was engaged at the Schauspielhaus Leipzig .

Foroutan is known to television audiences, among other things, in the role of Detective Inspector Sylvia Henke in the crime series KDD - Criminal Permanent Service . In 2008 she played the lead role alongside Mišel Matičević in the film adaptation of Frank Schätzing's novel The Dark Side . Also in 2008 she was seen in Wim Wenders ' Palermo Shooting in the cinema. In 2011, she played the wife of Jürgens 'grandfather Heinrich Bockelmann in the two-parter The Man with the Bassoon , which tells the story of Udo Jürgens' family. The movie Pari , in which Foroutan plays the leading role, celebrated its premiere at the Berlinale in 2020 .

Melika Foroutan is married and has two children.
