Caroline Ebner

Caroline Ebner (born May 24, 1970 in Graefelfing near Munich ) is a German actress and voice actress .

Life

Caroline Ebner came into contact with the world of theater at the Münchner Kammerspiele early on . Her mother, Käthe Ebner, was a lecturer in speech training at the Otto Falckenberg School . She completed her acting training from 1990 to 1993 at the Folkwang University in Essen. As early as 1992 she was seen as a guest in the role of Anna in Maxim Gorki's night asylum at the Bremen Theater .

Her first engagement took Caroline Ebner to the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus in 1993 , where she celebrated her first successes in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet under the direction of Karin Beier . For her portrayal of Julia she was awarded the Alfred Kerr Prize in 1994 and was voted Young Actress of the Year by Theater heute magazine . During her time at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus she also received the sponsorship award from the City of Düsseldorf and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in the drama category. From 1996 to 2000, Caroline Ebner was a member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg , where, also in productions by Karin Beier, she played the viola in Shakespeare's Was ihr wollt and Yvonne in Yvonne, the Burgundy princess . In 1998 she was awarded the Boy Gobert Prize for her performance .

After a guest performance at the Hanover Theater , she moved to Munich in 2001 with Frank Baumbauer as artistic director and has been a member of the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble ever since . In Ulrich Waller's theater evening Anne Frank - The Portrait of a Poet as a Young Girl , Caroline Ebner drew a sensitive portrait of the girl's character at the Hamburger Kammerspiele - in a coproduction with the Hanover Theater. At the Münchner Kammerspiele she was seen in the role of the title character in Gotthold Ephraim Lessing's Miss Sara Sampson . In addition to classical and modern pieces, she also took part in several recitals by Franz Wittenbrink ( The world becomes more beautiful every day , metamorphoses , men and because all lust wants eternity ).

For her role as Lisbeth in Didi Danquart's film Viehjud Levi , Caroline Ebner was nominated for the German Film Prize in 1999 for Best Actress .

Since autumn 2015 she has been performing together with Norbert Bürger, Sebastian Rüger and Frank Smilgies ( Ulan & Bator ) in the ensemble of the Münchner Lach- und Schießgesellschaft .
