Katja Brenner

Katja Brenner (born July 13, 1973 in Ansbach ) is a German actress who works in the theater as well as for film and television. She is also active as a speaker.

Career

Brenner completed her acting training at the Academy for Performing Arts in Ulm. Theater engagements followed. a. in Ulm, Berlin, Erlangen and Munich, at the Hamburger Schauspielhaus , at the Munich Pathos Transport Theater , at the Metropoltheater Munich and at dramagraz . In 2011 she played Trude - the central character of the piece - in the world premiere of Einar Schleef's Trumpets of the Dead 4 - Gute Reise, Auf Wiedersehen at the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen in coproduction with dramagraz.

In 2005 she founded the independent theater and performance group “Die Vorleserinnen”. Since then she has been realizing her own productions at home and abroad, which were also funded by the City of Munich. The focus of her work is often the search for interfaces to her own biographies, a radically subjective access to the respective topics and a very direct contact with the audience. Theater and film stimulate each other in their work. Since her TV debut in 2000, Katja Brenner has played regularly in TV productions and movies such as Tatort (2016), Kommissarin Lucas (2016) and Hubert und Staller (2015). She is also booked as an actress for international film productions, such as in 2016 for the Arthaus movie Euphoria with Charlotte Rampling , Alicia Vikander and Eva Green .
