Eva Green
Eva Gaëlle Green [ ˌe.va. ˈGa.ɛl. ˈGʁeːn ] (born July 6, 1980 in Paris ) is a French actress . She was best known for her role in Bernardo Bertolucci's film The Dreamers in 2003 and was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2016 .
life and career
Eva Green is the daughter of the French actress Marlène Jobert and the Swedish dentist Walter Green, who played a small role in the 1966 Swedish-French film For example Balthasar . She has a twin sister named Johanne. Her uncle is the Austrian cameraman Christian Berger , the husband of her aunt Marika Green - also an actress. She is a Sephardic Jew .
After studying acting in Paris and London , Green took to the stage before making her first appearance in Bernardo Bertolucci's film The Dreamers (2003) . In the film Kingdom of Heaven (2005) by Ridley Scott , she starred with Orlando Bloom and Liam Neeson . Again with Craig and Nicole Kidman she shot the fantasy film Der Goldene Kompass , a novel adaptation that came to international cinemas at Christmas 2007. In September 2007 a commercial was broadcast with her for the first time, in which she promoted the Dior fragrance "Midnight Poison" under the direction of Wong Kar-Wai . She also advertised Montblanc . She has been the brand ambassador for L'Oréal Professionnel since 2015 . In 2012 she stood as Angelique Bouchard for Tim Burton's horror - Comedy Dark Shadows on camera. 2014 she mimed in Sin City - continuation of the Ava Lord . In the same year she was in 300: Rise of an Empire - the sequel to 300 (2007) - as Persian field mistress I. Artemisia to see. From 2014 to 2016 she acted in the horror series Penny Dreadful in the lead role of Vanessa Ives . In 2017 she starred in Roman Polański's film After a True Story , which premiered at the 2017 Cannes International Film Festival out of competition.
In 2018 she was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
