Reviews

“With impressive images of melancholy coastal landscapes and an outstanding leading actress, an atmospherically impressive drama succeeds, which is increasingly bogged down and remains too vague, philosophically and emotionally, for an interesting perspective on how to deal with (genetically) technical possibilities and their consequences. "

“Despite a rather crude initial idea, the meditatively narrated film with a brilliantly playing Eva Green proves to be a carefully balanced experiment on the scandal of genetic engineering, although Green's ailing co-star Matt Smith and exaggerated symbolism cloud the otherwise good overall impression a little.
