Wunmi mosaku (* 31 July 1986 in Zaria as Oluwunmi Olapeju Mosaku ) is a Nigerian - British actress .

life and career

Mosaku grew up with her mother Irene Mosaku and two older sisters Iyiola Mosaku and Kunbi Mosaku in Chorlton, South Manchester. She graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London .

Mosaku made her acting debut in 2006 in the drama The Women of Troy , which however appeared directly on video. She had her first television appearance a year later, in the fifth episode of the first season of Sold as a firefighter . Appearances in the series Father & Son , Moses Jones , The Bill , Doctors , Never Better and forensic pathologist Dr. Leo Dalton . In 2007 she was selected as one of the "Super Seven: Fresh Faces" at the Toronto International Film Festival for her role in Ich, der Sklavin . In 2012 she appeared in front of the camera as Marie in the Irish horror drama thriller Citadel .

In 2018 she was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
