Martin Gruber (born May 16, 1970 in Munich ) is a German actor .

Life

Martin Gruber grew up in Munich and attended hotel management school there. He was cast in the TV production Ring of the Musketeers as the young Peter Porthos (leading role Thomas Gottschalk ) and was fascinated by the work as an actor. He completed his acting training at the William Esper School in New York and at the Actors Movement Studio under the direction of Lloyd Williamson. This was followed by roles in Tatort , Bim Bam Bino , Hunger - Longing for Love , the ZDF evening series Samt und Silk , SOKO 5113 , Rosamunde Pilcher (Bloom of Life)and Inga Lindström (clouds over Sommarholm) . Martin Gruber and Milo Ventimiglia appeared in front of the camera in Los Angeles for the short film Intelligence , directed by Allen Martinez . He played 2005 to 2006 in Eggenfelden in the Theater an der Rott. Here he had the role of Franz von Moor in Friedrich Schiller's Die Räuber , the lovesick Harry in the musical Harry and Sally and that of the robber captain in Das Wirtshaus im Spessart .

From November 2006 he played the restaurant manager Felix Tarrasch in the telenovela Sturm der Liebe ( Das Erste ) . In June 2008 he was awarded the Premio Napoli Cultural Classic Italian media prize for this . From October 2008 to September 2009 he played the male lead of the fourth season.

Since November 2009 he played the main role in Die Bergretter . Martin Gruber left the TV series in 2014 after shooting the sixth season so that he could, in his own words, take care of his family again and turn to other roles.

Martin Gruber is socially committed and in 2014 founded the Martin Gruber Foundation . The Martin Gruber Foundation works closely with the Anton Schrobenhauser Foundation kids to life , for which Martin Gruber is also an ambassador. The Martin Gruber Foundation is committed to the school project "werteRaum ", which is dedicated to imparting values ​​to children of primary school age with a migration background . In March 2017 he was appointed ambassador for the José Carreras Leukemia Foundation .

On March 18, 2017, Martin Gruber received the Roman Order of the Interest Group of Carnival Societies from Augsburg and the surrounding area “Under Oiner Kapp” (UOK) in Gersthofen.
