Hunger - Longing for Love is a German drama directed by Dana Vávrová from 1997 with Catherine Flemming in the lead role of Laura, who is ill with bulimia.

Laura suffers from an eating disorder bulimia . The reason for this is her unhappy childhood and youth and the unstable relationship with her mother. When she falls in love with the graffiti artist Simon, she hides her obsessive-compulsive disorder from him , but her health improves with Simon's being together.

Hunger - Longing for Love was filmed from October 16 to November 11, 1996 in Munich and the surrounding area and in Tuscany . The film premiered on September 4, 1997, and was first broadcast on German television on August 5, 1999.
