PICMG
The PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group , or PICMG for short, is a consortium of over 220 companies that work together to develop patent-free specifications for high-performance telecommunications and industrial applications. Most of the members of the consortium are pioneers of new technologies and can look back on many years of development experience in their industries.

The consortium was founded in 1994 with the task of further developing the PCI interface standard and establishing it in new markets. Guidelines for open computer architectures in the industrial, telecommunications and military sectors are currently being drawn up and introduced. These specifications include AdvancedTCA , AdvancedMC , MicroTCA , COM Express , and CompactPCI . They define form factors of the assemblies and computer buses.
