Sperling and the Sleeping Girl is a German TV film directed by Juraj Herz from 1998 . It is the eighth episode of the ZDF crime film series Sperling with Dieter Pfaff in the title role.
action
The chief inspector Hans Sperling and his new assistant Bettina Beermann happen to be near a gas station, as a case of a night raid gas station attendant shot. After a short, fast-paced chase , they manage to catch one of the two fugitives. During his investigation he comes across the young Jule, who behaves as if she were also involved in the crime. When she sees Sperling in a discotheque, she suddenly takes flight. He suspects she was the second person. It is still free as long as there is insufficient evidence of involvement.

The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm gave the film a medium rating, they pointed with the thumb to the side. They stated: "Disappointing thriller without tension curve".
