Joseph Sürch
Joseph Sürch (* 1811 in Vienna ; † July 25, 1877 there ) was an Austrian engraver and illustrator.
He was trained as a copper engraver at the Imperial and Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna . Little is known of him; only a few works can be assigned to him, including:
- 1840 "The annoying supplicant"
- 1840 "Paris court scene"
- 1844 "Bal masqué"
From 1847 to 1849 he worked for the Viennese magazine for art, literature, theater and fashion , which ceased publication in 1849. He also engraved some premium sheets for the Wiener Kunstverein .
His products also include playing cards.
