Katja Nicodemus

Katja Nicodemus (* 1968 ) is a German film critic and journalist. After working for the Taz for several years , she has mainly been writing for the weekly newspaper Die Zeit since the 2000s . She is one of the most famous people in German film criticism .

Life

Nicodemus studied comparative literature , political science , Latin American studies and Russian in Berlin and Paris . In 1999 she started writing for the Taz. There she wrote dozens of film reviews before switching to the weekly newspaper “Die Zeit”. She continued this work at “Zeit” in the features section . Nicodemus interviewed a number of international filmmakers there, including Charlotte Rampling , Lars von Trier , Thelma Schoonmaker , Brigitte Bardot , Hayao Miyazaki and Jean-Luc Godard . She reports regularly from the important international film festivals, not least the Berlinale .

In addition to her publications in Die Zeit and other print and written media, there are now radio comments and features, such as B. at NDR Kultur and Radio Bremen . With her colleague Anke Leweke , she also shot a television documentary on Las Vegas in the mid-2000s , and she is in demand as a presenter and laudator in the film sector.
