Jan Bonny

Jan Bonny (* 1979 in Düsseldorf ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

Live and act

Jan Bonny studied from 2000 to 2006 at the Art Academy for Media Cologne and graduated with the script for his feature film Gegenüber , which was shown at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and at the Berlinale in 2008 . In 2009 Bonny took part in the Binger Filmlab in Amsterdam and the Torino Filmlab in Turin .

Bonny has also shot numerous commercials with agencies such as DDB Worldwide , Droga5 , Jung von Matt , Heimat , Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi . Initially, the commercials were created in collaboration with Sonja Heiss under the directing pseudonym Sonny & Bonny . Later Bonny also took over the direction of television films such as Ich, Ringo and the gate to the world , Polizeiruf 110 - Death makes angels out of us all and About Barbarossaplatz .

Together with Alex Wissel he worked on the long-term performance film Single , which celebrated its world premiere on November 20, 2015 at the film festival We Are a Parasite on the Institution of Cinema, at the Institution of Parasites in MUMOK in Vienna . Another joint work with Alex Wissel is the Rheingold project . Your films were u. a. shown in the Haus der Kunst , the Julia Stoschek Collection, the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen and in the Brussels SuperDeals .

Bonny's film Winter Tales celebrated its world premiere in 2018 in the international competition of the Locarno Film Festival .
