Ogilvy & Mather is an international advertising agency with almost 500 agencies in 171 cities and 125 countries worldwide. In its own definition, the Ogilvy Group sees itself as “a 360 ° complete service agency that is concerned with communication results”.
The agency was founded in New York in 1948 by copywriter David Ogilvy under the name Hewitt, Ogilvy, Benson & Mather. The agency grew over the next few years, and from 1965 also internationally. In 1966, Ogilvy & Mather was one of the first advertising agencies to go public. Since 1989 Ogilvy & Mather, like the entire Ogilvy Group, has been part of the WPP Group agency network (based in London). In the creative rankings of the German trade press, Ogilvy is regularly among the top five.
In Germany, the agency group looks after a total of over 200 customers with more than 330 individual budgets. The German headquarters are in Frankfurt am Main on Darmstädter Landstrasse . There are branches in Düsseldorf and Berlin .
