Magnus Vattrodt

Magnus Vattrodt (* 1972 in Karlsruhe ) is a German writer who is best known for his scripts for ARD crime scene thrillers and the Grimme Prize .

Live and act

Vattrodt studied theater studies at the University of Gießen and then screenplay at the International Film School Cologne . He has been writing scripts for Tatort crime novels since 2006 . He wrote screenplays for other television film productions, including Der Novembermann , which was invited to several German film festivals in 2007 and won the film art award for television. For the television film script Liebesjahre (ZDF 2011, directed by Matti Geschonneck ) he was awarded the Grimme Prize and the Golden Camera in 2012.

With The End of a Night , the Vattrodt-Geschonneck team presented another TV feature film that was praised by the reviewers. It is a justice thriller, two lawyers against each other in a process similar to that in the media case Kachelmann .

In 2000 his novel Managuaspiele was published . It is about a marriage escape from the German affluent milieu in the Nicaraguan capital Managua.

Magnus Vattrodt lives with his family in Cologne .
