Stefan Schaller

Stefan Schaller (born July 9, 1982 in Munich ) is a German screenwriter and film director.

Life

After graduating from high school, Schaller studied politics and theater studies in Munich. After a stay abroad in Central America, he first worked in the script development of the Boje Buck production in Berlin before he began studying scenic directing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg in October 2005 . In April 2012 he successfully completed his studies. His diploma film Five Years of Life , which deals with the imprisonment of the German-Turkish citizen Murat Kurnaz in the US prison camp Guantanamo in Cuba , has already received several prizes.
